Change & internal communication
The role of internal communication is essential to the success of any change. People often have difficulty letting go of the familiar. The most important thing is obtaining a commitment from employees and management within an organisation. Therefore, they must be convinced of the need to change and the concrete goal of this change. This concerns core values (such as speed, efficiency, humanity, social awareness) and working methods (such as computer systems and procedures). If employees and management have their input in the change process, you will obtain their buy in more quickly.
Communication at the earliest possible stage is essential for the success of change management. Employees and managers need to know why changes are coming and with what goal. During the process, internal communication ensures commitment and trust. At the INHOLLAND University of Applied Sciences, Eneco, but also in the case of resistance in the local community around wind farms, I have had to deal with this. I understand the views of the various stakeholders and how to use communication to get them onboard. In addition to discussions, newsletters, websites, blogs and social media, I have also used workshops, round table discussions, and so on.
